Trigger Warning after developing anorexia at 15, i realized basically everything I had learned in public school health class about eating disorders was incredibly inaccurate and I didn’t present with most of those “telling signs”. I'm not sure if this is lanugo (something that would be a symptom of my eating disorder) or if I shouldn't worry about this and it's all in my head. I had a therapist at an eating disorder clinic tell me once a few years ago that the body hair growth may have been coincidental, a late puberty thing, but she didn't seem to know much about the topic. anorexia. just now.

Lanugo? Worried - posted in Anorexia Discussions: I know these posts can be annoying, but I’m worried I’m developing lanugo & would like some thoughts please? I didn’t think this would happen as my bmi is 19.8 but having searched the forums this morning as well as Google I’ve read several times it can happen at higher bmis & it’s more about longer term depriving the body of nutrients. 2021-02-24
